The Annual Pirith ceremony is one of the most important programmes organized by the Neochem
group. This year (2021) pirith was held for the 5th consecutive time, on 3rd February 2021
followed by an alms giving on the following day. Mahasangha were escorted in a magnificent
procession to the newly established office building of Neochem Lifescience Pvt Ltd, a fully
owned subsidiary of Neochem Group of Companies where all night pirith was held. The alms
giving was held at the at the new premises on the following day.
The main intension of this annual event is to bless for those who have been, who are, and who
will be, affected by all that encompasses Covid-19, especially for those who are risking their lives
for the protection and sustenance of others. The Pirith ceremony this year was also to celebrate
the establishment of a state-of-the-art office building at the heart of Pelawatta in an owned
property of Neochem group. It is a huge investment made for year 2021 from the group
management to cater the unmet needs of the rapidly evolving research industry in Sri Lanka.
